Cheers to 80 years!

Since 1946, TableCraft has built a legacy of craftsmanship, service, and integrity. What began as a small, family-run Chicago business has grown into a global company trusted by operators and retailers around the world. As we celebrate 80 years, we honor our history, our people, and the commitment that has guided us from day one.

The TableCraft Story

From Chicago Roots to Global Reach

TableCraft began in downtown Chicago when our founder, Adolph Davis, set out to support the cityʼs rapidly growing restaurant scene. It was a vibrant time -- the rise of deep-dish pizza, bustling diners, rolling roast-beef carts, and the expansion of Italian cuisine across the city.

From those early years, TableCraft became known for reliable, well-crafted essentials. Yes, even ashtrays for hospitals -- it truly was a different era. But alongside those, many of our original classics -- squeeze bottles, serving baskets, tabletop favorites -- remain best-sellers worldwide. Our iconic plastic baskets, in particular, can be found on nearly every continent.

As demand grew, we relocated to the northern suburbs of Chicago -- first to Lincolnwood, Northbrook, and later to Gurnee -- expanding into larger warehouses and bringing more team members into the TableCraft family.

Expanding Horizons

Growth didn’t stop at the Midwest. In 2000, we brought our professional-quality products into the retail market, partnering with national retailers such as Walmart, as well as independent boutiques and mercantile shops across the U.S. and Europe.

Today, TableCraft offers more than 12,000 products -- each designed with the same care and purpose that shaped our company from day one.

Our current president, Jeff Tait, the great grandson of our founder, continues to lead TableCraft with the values that have defined us from the start: family, innovation, integrity, and service.

As we celebrate 80 years, we are honored to look back on our history -- and energized by the future ahead.

Thank you for being part of our story.
